CVAP Day 16 - 07/05/20

Post date: Jul 5, 2020 9:52:10 PM

Long sleep day!

Finally had a long night's sleep but then had to prepare for an afternoon scriptwriting workshop with Ms. Faith and surprise speaker, Mr. Emil Alfonso. Learned lots of stuff, plus received a new assignment to boot! This should be good though. Just need to get the time in to actually start it. Discipline is key! There are no mental blocks!

Some of our learnings from this afternoon:

"A Good Writer is a writer that can write anytime, anywhere, about anything."

- Emil Alfonso

as well as:

"Ang trabaho ng manunulat ay ang makakita, at ang ipakita sa iba ang nakikita niya. Kapag nakaharap tayo sa magic show, hindi tayo nakanganga lang sa harapan in enjoyment. Pupunta tayo sa likod dahil kailangang makita natin kung bakit may magic."

- Ricky Lee

There's a new world out there, and all you have to do is reach for it. Well, that's my take on this. Learning a new skill means putting in the time needed to get it to at least a level of competency, then just keep on spamming! They don't call it grinding for nothing.

On the voice artistry side, I'm still banking on the extra VOs I've done last week to tide me over 'til tomorrow. But as they say, no rest for the wicked. Maybe I can record one now just in time for breakfast.

Have a great week!
