CVAP Day 19 - 07/08/20

Kain na tayo!
The day started off interpreting a new script for VO recording and submission to CreatiVoices, as there's a new project happening. Trying to get the feel of a script... putting yourself in the shoes of a company that would like to welcome people back into their... establishment.. and assuring everyone that measures have been put in place for everyone's safety.... is not an easy task.
I had to go find older videos produced by this company to familiarize myself with their "sound", if they had one at that. Unfortunately, they did have videos but no definite sound. I ended up doing a delivery based on the feel of the script instead.
All in all, it's a great experience doing audition work -- the workflow I've gotten used to during the assignments are paying off... and have now been polished further. I mean.. instead of sending different audio files of alternate dialogues (conflicting entries on the script vs. script notes), I just put them all in one file.. putting the alternate script version at the end of the first dialogue version. Which makes it easier for a sound engineer to pick-and-place, I guess. The other VO versions are still in separate audio files though.
The next step would be to actually start working on my VO practice recordings based on Sir Choy's older works. Maybe I could still do that later. Now, it's time to catch up on my first sleep.
Good night!
